Who we are
The data controller for this website is MI HOME1 Furniture Ltd, 76–80 Church Street, Croydon CR0 1RB. Contact us about your data on 020 3500 3296, on WhatsApp 078 4893 1257, or in the showroom.
What we collect and why
- Call back requests: your name, phone number, the product you asked about and any message. We use these to call you back. Lawful basis: steps you asked us to take before a sale (contract).
- Price requests: when you tap Ask for price, we record which product, colour and size you asked about, without your name, so we know which items people want. The WhatsApp chat itself happens in WhatsApp, under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running the shop.
- Chat assistant: the messages you type are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to write the replies. If you give your name, phone number and the product you want, we save them as an enquiry so Aziz can contact you. We keep counts of chats, not full transcripts. Lawful basis: steps you asked us to take before a sale.
- Trade and landlord requests: the pack and quantity you chose. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.
- Technical data: a scrambled form of your IP address is used for an hour to stop abuse of the chat and forms. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site working.
Who we share it with
Cloudflare hosts this website and stores enquiries. Anthropic processes chat messages to write replies. WhatsApp (Meta) handles messages you send us on WhatsApp. If online payment is switched on, Stripe processes card payments; we never see your card number. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted, unless you buy from us, in which case we keep order records for 6 years for tax.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
